Roland Electronic GmbH sees itself as niche provider of sensors and electronics for industries for applications with no efficient or adequate solutions available on the market.
This general orientation results in special requirements regarding:
In cooperation with our customers and potential customers the company addresses applications with a market volume generally too small for larger companies. Roland searches very consciously for applications which provide a chance to create Unique Selling Positions - USP- for its products.
All products are based on our own proprietary development. The Know-How from many different customer situations results in improvements in a timely fashion and the design of most of our new products. Following the concept of lean management, the production of components is entrusted to long-term suppliers. Assembly, calibration and final quality control are considered core competence and performed in-house.
Our niche markets require a worldwide presence and but not only in the old industrial nations but even more so in the newly developed industrial countries. For this purpose Roland formed already in 1996 its own company in the United States and in other markets the company maintains a relatively dense representation network whose employees are regularly trained by periodic representative conferences and by visits of our own sales engineers -- most effectively, however, through "training on the job" with joined visits to customers.
All production processes are performed in accordance with the quality management system DIN ISO EN 9001 which provides process reliability to produce top quality as an important preconditions for customers satisfaction and long-term customer relations.
Our location in a relatively small community close to the metropolitan between Karlsruhe and Pforzheim provide jobs in an area where others spend their vacations. Most of our employees are long-term and have a high work ethics warrenting quality conscious execution of all tasks. In return this gives us the opportunity of providing a less formalized work atmosphere.
